TBA Studio was selected to design a new student event center for the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  Bayou Pointe, located in the previous natatorium building, is one of the campus’ focal points with a large dome structure that will serve as the “light post” of the university. At more than 45,000 SF, the student center serves as a banquet space. The facility also includes a multi-purpose area for spirit group practice and events, a small theatre space for student entertainment, a warming kitchen for banquet events, and a covered porch and open amphitheater – both overlooking the bayou to be used as event spaces as well.
Administrative and storage spaces are also included in the project.
