The city of West Monroe came to TBA Studio with a vision of a new sports complex housing indoor basketball courts that can also serve other sports activities. The sports complex includes administration areas, a kitchen, flex spaces for teams to meet in, and a mezzanine level for spectator viewing. The concrete tilt wall construction enabled quick and economical construction of the 112,000-square-foot facility. The sports complex faces I-20 and is a focal point for travelers passing through West Monroe. The large double-height lobby provides areas for teams to gather and for players and parents to shop at the gift shop. A curtain wall wraps this space allowing for natural northern light to come into the area reducing the need for lighting throughout the day. The facility has space to allow for all sorts of sporting activities like basketball, volleyball, soccer, and racquetball.
